Sir Next Recognized as Outstanding Member of the Philippine Marketing Association

Nestor “Sir Next” Layderos received the Outstanding Member of the Year recognition in the Philippine Marketing Association (PMA) Year-End Awards 2021 for his coverage of association activities during the pandemic. The 2021 recognition was presented on February 16, 2022.

Recognized for keeping the Philippine Marketing Association’s activities visible and its community connected during the pandemic.

Nestor “Sir Next” Layderos, CPM-Asia, was named Outstanding Member of the Year in the Philippine Marketing Association’s PMA Year-End Awards 2021. The recognition was presented during the association’s 68th Anniversary Celebration, held online via Zoom on February 16, 2022.

Conferred under the leadership of Past President Lucien C. Dy Tioco, the award honored Layderos’s contribution to the association during the COVID-19 pandemic—a period that challenged how professional communities gathered, communicated, and sustained their work.

Keeping the community connected

At the time, Layderos served as Head of Sales and Marketing of ZOE Broadcasting Network. The award cited him:

“for his tireless coverage of all PMA activities during the pandemic.”

His work helped sustain the visibility and documentation of PMA programs as activities largely moved to digital platforms. Through consistent coverage and communication, he supported the association’s efforts to keep members informed and engaged amid disruption.

Service through uncertainty

The online ceremony reflected the realities of the period while bringing the PMA community together to recognize service, leadership, and professional excellence.

For Sir Next, the award remains a reminder that difficult circumstances do not diminish the value of showing up for a professional community. Communication, collaboration, and dependable support can help an association continue its work when familiar ways of connecting are no longer possible.

The recognition marks an important milestone in his involvement in the Philippine marketing industry, followed by broader leadership, communications, and service responsibilities within PMA.

This service connects Sir Next’s marketing and communications experience with industry engagement: documenting programs and helping a professional community remain informed and connected.

He later received PMA Presidential Awards for communications leadership in 2023 and PR and communications leadership in 2024.
