Sir Next Layderos Receives PMA Presidential Award for Communications Leadership
A recognition of service, collaboration, and communications leadership in restoring the Philippine Marketing Association’s visibility.

Nestor “Sir Next” Layderos, CPM-Asia, received a Presidential Award from the Philippine Marketing Association (PMA) during its 69th Anniversary Celebration and Turnover & Induction of the New Board and Officers on January 26, 2023, at Sheraton Manila.
Conferred under the leadership of Past President Maeyeth C. Cadungog, the recognition honored his service as Director for PR & Corporate Communications and his support for PMA’s 2022 leadership and projects.
Bringing tradition and innovation together
The award citation acknowledged Layderos’s active support and commitment to the association, particularly his leadership of the Communications Committee. It credited the committee’s blend of tradition and innovation with helping bring back PMA’s visibility—a vital part of its work in marketing.

As organizations moved from pandemic-era digital engagement toward renewed in-person activity, communication played an important role in reconnecting professional communities. Sir Next’s work supported PMA’s public presence and helped bring attention to its programs and initiatives during that transition.
Communication as a form of service
For Sir Next, the Presidential Award reflects the value of consistent service, thoughtful innovation, and collaboration. Strategic communication helps an association make its work visible, strengthen relationships, and connect its members with a shared purpose.
The 2023 recognition builds on his earlier PMA Outstanding Member of the Year award, which honored his coverage of the association’s activities during the pandemic. Together, these milestones trace a continuing commitment to supporting the Philippine marketing community through communications and service.
