IGNITE in Medan: A shared mission across nations

November 7–10, 2024 · Adimulia Hotel, Medan, Indonesia

Different nations, different cultures, one shared mission. The Asia Pacific Haggai Leaders Summit brought Christian leaders to Medan, Indonesia, under the theme “IGNITE: Together We Can End Gospel Poverty.” Sir Next joined the gathering as part of his continuing journey in Christian leadership.

A regional gathering with a common purpose

Held on November 7–10, 2024 at Adimulia Hotel, the summit created space for leaders to renew their commitment to Haggai’s mission and learn from one another. Sir Next’s event account records 304 Haggai leaders from 25 nations, including 45 delegates from the Philippines.

The summit briefing identified four priorities: celebrating the work of the Haggai community, exchanging ministry updates, sharing approaches that could be adapted locally, and developing national ministry goals. The emphasis connected international fellowship with the practical responsibilities leaders would carry home.

The theme invites a response beyond enthusiasm during an event. Learning becomes useful when it shapes how a person serves, communicates, and prepares others. For Christian professionals, that response can begin in the relationships and responsibilities already entrusted to them.

Leadership that continues after the summit

Haggai’s work emphasizes equipping Christian leaders within the societies they know. The relevance to Sir Next’s work in communication and technology is practical: professional skills can help people understand a message, connect with a community, and take their next step in service.

This international gathering forms part of the same journey that continues through his involvement in Haggai Philippines and volunteer service with the Metro Manila Chapter.
